So just the other day I passed 3,333 pageviews. I figured I'd celebrate this by hiding away all those half-assed deviations in my gallery. They're still around, just not among the Featured.

I've also begun playing around with the more technical aspects of the software I use. Both Photoshop and Matlab are powerful tools, and together they're powerful^2. I probably won't get anything truly interesting done on them, due to my lack of Java skillz.

I find it amusing that the fairly pointless brushed and actions I submitted get more attention than almost any of my deviations. I also find at amazing that people actually download an Action that requires not only Photoshop CS4 Extended, but also Matlab.

Artwise I've been (as usual) exploring a new style. Having long since dispensed with lineart, I am now training to rid myself of pencilwork entirely. Of course, the little speedpainting pieces I've made for that aren't good enough to post here - other than as some artdump in the distant future.

I also have some ideas for some Steampunk artwork. It's a lovely aesthetic that I'd love to make more of. We'll see how that works out.
